SLAMin Exhibition 22-31 July

Some new friends of Dawn Industry are preparing an amazing exhibition as part of the Melbourne State of Design Festival, and we think this is an opportunity not to be missed.

SLAMin is presented by Post Industrial Design, a West Footscray gallery space and shopfront which supports a wide range of local artists (many of whom are our friends) focusing on hand made unique intriguing objects born of recycled materials, found objects and much more. The store is definitely worth a visit to appreciate the range of industrial styled and fused pieces on display.

The SLAMin exhibition will be even more reason to head there! A range of artists (including Sarah Watt, Jos Van Hulsen, Karenne Rees, Baby Guerilla, Steve Leadbeater, Thuy Vy, Kial Menadue) have drawn together the philosophy of the store, the theme of the festival “Design that Moves” and local skate culture to present a show based around “the artistic impact skaters have on our everyday physical environment”.

The exhibition is already generating a lot of excitement in the community, and was recently written up in The Age Newspaper.
